Protein makes up 15% of the calories that most Americans eat every day. But it should be much higer-between 19- 35%- to give us more energy and help us burn off extra caloires. Games meats such contain 83% protein. Legumes (which most vegetarians proport as having a lot of portein) have only 27% protein. Not to mention the negative side affects of legumes.
